Well done to Archie & Beckie who, last weekend travelled up to Sunderland for the British Triathlon Inter-Regional Championships. They were part of the South West Team. Archie finished 11th & Beckie 29th in their races. This was a fantastic opportunity for them to compete with the best triathletes from around the country. The South West Team collected the most individual medals overall (6) but unfortunately just missed out on a team medal by coming 4th. Each of the 9 English regions or Home Nation (Wales & Scotland) competed as a team of 14, taking part in six different races over the day from Tri Star 2 through to Youth categories. Athletes scored points for their regions depending on their finishing position. The 12 highest scores were taken from each region and the region with the highest overall score was crowned British Triathlon Inter Regional Champions. For the 2nd year running the North East retained the title.
